I was back on the pitch again this Sunday, shooting women’s and men’s soccer games between Sheridan and Cambrian.

I thought last weekend’s 30°C weather was hot – but it was easily topped by this weekend’s record-breaking 33°C! The blazing heat was a problem for my camera’s auto-focus system, with evaporation from the AstroTurf pitch creating heat waves that ruin shots at longer distances.

With that said, I was able to shoot for almost five hours without any camera overheating concerns – a continued appreciation that I have for Canon gear.
